The challenge
When marihuana was legalized in parts of America a few years back a new situation arose. And since this was all so new there was a general lack of knowledge about the (medical) capabilities of marihuana.
Working together with an American research company we designed and build a comprehensive tool that helps people to anonymously get the right recommendations for medical use of marihuana.
The solution
By filling in a questionnaire a user gets recommended the best possible products, administration methods and dosages for their situation. The results are based on decades of research. The system learns and validates recommendations by having the users participate.
We designed and build a custom tool that allows scientist to manage the questionnaire and update specific questions and values when new information becomes available.
The challenge was to make this all look simple. Both in design and in the way information is presented. There are many different questions that need to be answered in the questionnaire and every choice alters the rest of the questions, making it very complex.
During the design phase assumptions in the business model were tested and the model was improved. This resulted in an interesting playing field between science and commerce.
