HIREFIRST
STRATEGY - UX DESIGN - Visual design
Recruitment companies nowadays are becoming more transparant about their process, fees and way of working. It's a trend following disruptive start-ups that change the hiring market. SThree, one of worlds largest and oldest recruitment firms decided not to ignore this and take action.
The challenge
SThree asked me to design a product that will open up it's enormous database to both clients and candidates. With close to 250K resumes coming in every two weeks globally, and thousands of specialist recruiters the system would have to cater for better matchmaking, happier candidates and more added value from the recruiters. And obviously, the new product needed to generate new business and streams of revenue.
The solution
I started by researching the different user groups, stakeholders, the global market and mapped out what (data) was needed in order to reach these goals. An important requirement was to minimise the amount of manual tasks a recruiter needs to complete and steer towards automated processes, putting AI in the mix. This ment involving data specialists early in the concept phase.
With these insights I designed the Service Blueprint, showing how the complete journey for every type of user would work. This would become the foundation for the Business Model I proposed to SThree, making the ROI on further development more tangible.
I translated the Service Blueprint into a comprehensive set of Interaction Designs and a Prototype. After validation with users and approval from business I continued with the Visual Design.
Being the only designer on this product I worked together with a London based branding agency, client teams in the UK and France and with the extensive development team. After I handed over the 200+ screens the team was scaled up and the project took flight.
The product, HireFirst, is now being used worldwide.
